2024 Courses

The Tree to Treen workshop is a gorgeous timber-framed, open-sided workshop nestled in the trees at Grow Wilder. In 2024 it is delighted to host the following workshops (Full day unless stated):

Turning Workshops – Introduction to Green Woodwork (spindle turning), Bowl turning and Plate turning.
Lathe Build Workshops – Bowl Lathe Build
Carving Workshops – Spoon Carving, Kuksa Carving, Relief Carving, Bird Bowl Carving and Cup & Tea-spoon Carving.
Basketry Workshops – Ash Splint (2-day), Hazel Splint (2-day) and Beginners Willow.
Furniture Workshops – Stool making (2-day).
Leather Workshops – Tanning & Leather-making Workshops (2-day).
Sharpening Workshops – Sharpening Green Woodwork Tools.
Child-Friendly Workshops – Children’s Whittling (8-14yr Olds)

1:1 Workshops – Spend time with Geoff Hannis making and learning the item(s) of your choice. Previous attendees have fixed broken tool handles, turned bowls, made an axe-chopping-block, carved spoons, made shrinkpots and many other things besides.
