Description
During the next school holiday, why not give your child the opportunity to learn how to whittle wooden objects using a knife? Courses currently available include:
- Child’s Beginner Whittling Day. Where your child will spend a day foraging for materials around Grow Wilder to produce a number of whittling projects. (Tutor: Harry Samuel ). Suitable for children aged 8-14.
- Child’s Improvers Whittling Day. Where your child will spend the morning making the key greenwood toolbox of a mallet and wedge for splitting wood. Then in the afternoon these tools and others will be used to make a spatula. (Tutor: Harry Samuel ). Suitable for children aged 8-14.

Harry Samuel
Harry (@sparry_hoons ) is an ex-apprentice at the Cherry Wood Project and a long-standing tutor with both the Greenwood Guild in London and also the Smallwoods Association in Coalbrookdale. He runs regular child friendly workshops including a whole series of sessions for small slojders at Spoonfest each year.
