Natural Edge Hazel Bowl

Description

Natural edge hazel bowl with disappearing bead and turned on a pole-lathe. This hazel was pruned less than 50m from my workshop at Grow Wilder in Bristol, and I just loved the wonky shape of the log, so it became an obvious candidate to turn bark up. Since making my first one of these I’ve really taken to doing these more when the right log appears. I love forming my usual bead in the outside profile, and then standing back and admiring how to appears and then dips out of existence as the bowl rotates. Approx diameter 4.5″. Finished with Treatex Hardwax Oil.
